About Us

The Breckinridge Legacy Foundation (BLF), established in 2025, is a nonprofit dedicated to improving quality of life in Union County, Kentucky. At its core, this foundation is about impact, legacy and community. It’s about making sure Union County is not just a great place to live today, but 20, 30, and 50 years from now. We want to preserve what makes this community special, while also helping move it forward into a new era.

Founded by local residents Philip Clements, Kim Humphrey, and Jim Peak, BLF is rooted in a shared commitment to the community. Their vision is to make Union County an even better place to live—for those who call it home and for those yet to come.

BLF operates Breckinridge Golf Course, a historic gathering place, with plans to preserve its legacy while enhancing its role in the community. In addition, we are developing a new housing community to help meet the area’s growing need for quality housing.
